The Wisconsin Equine Practitioners' Association was formally organized in 1964 by Dr.s Howard Cook, A.E. Moats, Sr. and Merrill Culham. It is an organization of veterinarians from Wisconsin and the surrounding states who are dedicated to promoting the health and welfare of the horse.
Objectives:
To disseminate information concerning equine medicine and surgery to the veterinary profession through continuing education programs, clinics, and newsletters.
To keep horse owners more cognizant of veterinary services available to them.
To promote a bond of friendship, rather than competition, between veterinarians.
The WEPA accomplishes these objectives by holding semi-annual day-long continuing education seminars for member veterinarians, always attracting speakers who are foremost in their specialized area of equine medicine or surgery.
